Frequently Asked Questions:

Why free? Having a free conference helps us ensure that our conference is accessible to aspiring legal professionals of all backgrounds, regardless of their financial status. We do have a donation-optional ticket, which allows all registrants to donate if they wish to support our non-profit, Barrier Breakers®.

Why virtual? A virtual conference is another way to break down barriers for minoritized students to attend. Internet is widely accessible in free spaces, like libraries, while transit, flights, etc. are not so accessible to attend an in-person conference.

WHAT OUR LISTENERS HAVE TO SAY

“[Your podcast] has been so helpful for me whilst going through the application and LSAT process.

I wanted to specifically thank you for your How to Approach Scholarship Negotiations episode. I wasn’t initially offered a scholarship from Rutgers, but after listening to that episode, I went back as you said and asked for a scholarship, and they actually ended up giving me about half of tuition in scholarship money!

Your platform has been amazing for me, especially as a Black woman, and a first generation law student.”
